I'm looking for a high quality (prefer USA, Europe or Japan made) gig bag for my bass guitars... I was looking at Reunion Blues and they seem nice enough, but for the price I didn't expect them to be imported from China...

Anyone know where Mono is made? I know they're out of the SF Bay Area, but are they also made there?

thanks I've heard nothing but good thigns about them, but I just can't stand spending a lot of money on ANYTHING made in China.... Laptops and Phones are bad enough.

ok, thanks.. no looking like there' anything "good" out there short of custom boutique stuff made here.

If it has to be a bag, I needs to be a Mono.

Who cares where it's made as long as it's high quality. Mono is top notch. I've got hundreds of gigs on my M80 Double Bass bag. I take a Vertigo when I only lug one bass.

They're based in Nova Scotia. Good products. I don't own any, but I've checked them out at NAMM.

Reunion Blues and Mono are comparable. Each has a few benefits over the other.

I've owned both. For light travel I'd pick the Mono. I think the RB is more protective.

However, the gig bag I use most often (over the RB or Mono) comes from SKB. It costs half as much and I think is their equal in protection but lighter and as a result easier to haul. I suspect it's made in China, but I don't care.

Glenn Cronkhite founded Reunion Blues and designed their cases. He's no longer affiliated with them but still makes high-quality made in USA cases.

I have no idea how expensive they are and the web site doesn't say much but you can give him a call.

when they cost $2-300 .. yes..

If it were a $49 gig bag from China, I'd have no problem.

I know, I know.. I'd odd; humor me.
