Up for sale only at this time. Gil Yaron stratocaster:

    Mahogany Body
Maple neck - '59 neck profile, approx .88 at the first fret, 9.5" radius
    Gil Yaron Pickups
Emerson strat wiring harness with 5 way switch.
( Original harness/cap is included in the sale, but I had a problem with the original 5-way so that is gone )

Great playing, great sounding guitar. I'm delving into the vintage market so some things have to go.
Recently sold D'ergo, Gil Yaron burst, Lentz reserve, Suhr, PRS. This is just another casualty of GAS!

Comes with an Ameritage HSC and the bar for the vibrato. Recently set up and restrung with '10s.

PM or Email me for better pics. Can't upload them to imageshack at the moment.

    $SOLD

shipped worldwide. Payment by wire transfer.

The guitar is located in Thailand and will be shipped at my expense, fully insured, to the buyer. Plenty of good deals here on TGP.

I am away from home until the 30th, so the guitar will be shipped after this date.

For those of you in the UK, I will be travelling back to England in June and can possibly meet to deliver the guitar in person.

Beautiful! Interesting choice of the hog body. Bet it sounds delightful.

You would think it would sound vastly different to say, an ash or alder bodied strat, but the differences are much more subtle.

It's still got some sparkle and quack, especially in the 2 and 4 positions. Slightly warmer tone than an ash strat I have here, with more mids present.
I've never recorded with it but I'd imagine it would sit nicely in the mix. I suspect it's largely down to Gils pickups.

Go on Fretnot - buy it :D

Great looking axe. Very '54-ish. Nice two-tone burst. Also dig the string tree. Looks like smaller flanged vol/tone controls like a '54 (though they may be closer to '56 spec controls). Really, really cool!
