I still have 4 months or more till my full length album is out.....I'm pre-releasing some of the songs on an EP......the first two tracks on my myspace page are on it, let me know what you think. I did all the vocals and all acoustic and electric guitars.

I heard part of "Tell me this ain't over." Your singing on the chorus sounds good to me. Your singing on the first verse reminds me of John Mayer. There's nothing wrong with your performance - it's sung well but personally I hate John Mayer's singing. That particular type of breathyness sounds phony to me and it drives me away fast.

I didn't go for the guitar work - it sounded cluttered on the chorus and ineffective on the verse. The playing is good - it's all performed pretty well, but the parts need improvement. It might work better with a different mix.

The writing is not bad. I think your strong suit on that track is vocals.

    Best of luck,

    Eliot

I'm pretty breathy, most the time. :) Thanks for the input, man! I appreciate non-biased input, and that's usually hard to come by!

The tracks will be a little different on the full length album, these are to help promote and sell until then. Give the second song a listen when you have a chance, it's more alt-country.

    I really enjoyed the tracks.
Great voice and real nice melodic writing. It's cool to hear vocals here as well as instrumentals.

    Nice one

    While, not my style:

I liked the chorus vocals on "Tell Me This Ain't Over" alot. I also liked the sound of the verse guitars on "Savior" in conjunction with the crash cymbals. Definitely a cool sound.

And yeah, it is nice to hear a song wid vox.
