Does anyone here own a GMP Roxie ?? Does anyone here know any dealers who may have one used.

Also does anyone know if GMP is going to re-open and make guitars again, I see their web site has been taken down.

    Thanks

I've got 2 Roxies: a silver sparkle & a Ltd. Ed. black sparkle w/blue/purple/magenta sparkle flames. Also own a white Pawnshop Custom w/black binding, and had a black Explorer & a sparkle flame V. I love GMPs - toured with 'em, recorded with 'em for years - Michael Beinhorn makes most of his artists record with Roxies - you prolly didn't know dat! Sez they track to tape better than anything. You've heard more Roxies on recordings than you'd imagine. They flat out kick ass - the Cadillac of modern electrics.

I posted in another GMP thread but again, I saw Neil Geraldo (Pat Bentatar) last year play a Roxy blue sparkle with two P90s and his tone slayed! He had several Roxy with P90s, some with Bigsby tremelos.

I TOTALLY agree with this statement. My friend Jeff has 2 Roxies he uses for studio work and he loaned one to me and I was totally blown away. That one looked just like the green sparkle one above but with P-90's. Theyre just so easy to play, too! I'd trade nearly any guitar I have for one in a heartbeat.

Funny y'all should ask. Here's a link to the new GMP forum.

    http://com5.runboard.com/bthenewgmpguitarforum

Stop on by and sign up! There's TONS of great GMP porn there for your viewing pleasure.

And I'll add a +zillion to all the comments above. GMPs are the sweetest guitars I've ever played. Once I got my first one, I started selling everything else to buy more GMPs.

    I'm fortunate enough to own:

3 Roxies (including the Chartreuse sparkle you saw earlier in the thread...absolutely the most smokin' guitar EVA)

    1 Firebird

    1 E'Lite (an early GMP)

    1 Pawnshop Special

1 Flying V (the legendary Evel Knievel V)

Oh, and one more on the way. It's an absolute addiction.

Whoever started this thread looking for a Roxie to buy, I suggest you contact Deluxemeat and buy his green quilt Roxie. You will not be disappointed. Also...you simply don't see them popping up for sale much nowadays. The word's spreading about GMPs...and there are only 1115 in existence.

Bert & Mack - good to see the ORIGINAL O.G.crew here! Well, as you know, my Roxie SS LE is officially dead & bloated (F*CK OFF UPS MONKEYS!!!) but I've still got my Silver Sparkle Roxie SS & a killer white Pawnshop Custom Deluxe. Bert - you still have the coolest V ever! Hang on to that baby!

Speaking of Roxie LEs, I am trying to get my brother to cough up his pre-LE Neil heel. It is old school GMP with no belly cut etc. I have offered up an Anderson, no dice. Suhr, no dice. As Boss Hog would say, "time to lay down the semoliones".
