Does Lee at GMW make the same quality guitars as Suhr, Anderson, Tyler, Grosh, etc?
GMWs are a different thing. They have one foot placed in the
tradition of the old Charvels. But it's good stuff, I have a GMW
strat that I use alot, it sounds good.
I own 2 GMW's and I truly believe that from a detail perspective, the others are a step ahead. I love the tones I get, but I can get nit picky. That said, they also cost considerably less than the makers you had mentioned, so in my case, I'm willing to overlook them.
I have owned 2 Andersons, 2 Suhrs, and probably 15 GMWs. I love GMWs. To me, they are extremely close to Suhr and Anderson as far as quality. They are cheaper in price, which is a factor. I don't currently have the Andersons, which was a preference choice rather than a quality thing. The Suhrs and 5 of the GMWs are still with me.
I'm my experience / opinion. Yes.
That's my old GMW! Very nice flames... That thing sounded awesome.
I just got that one back off eBay this weekend!
