No matter how hard I tried, I could never get anywhere close to grokking that guy's playing style. I'd have to say that he remains one of my favourite players. Anyone know what he's been up to?

I had the pleasure of learning and playing God is a Bullet with a band I subbed with for a gig a few months ago. I became a instant fan ...fantastic energy there.

Always dug her voice and James' style. Saw them at Norfolk's Boathouse when Bloodletting came out.

I'm going on memory here, but I believe it's a 7 sharp 9 chord (aka Hendrix chord) in F, then dropping down one fret to the same shape in E when the band kicks in. I don't have a guitar close by to double check...

Hmmm, watching the video it seems he's in a different position than the usual 7 sharp 9 shape as most play it. Maybe it's a different inversion, but the sound is similar....

I've been a fan for years. Great songs, one the best voices in rock and killer guitar playing......what more could you want?

I saw them at a small club in San Juan Capistrano in the early 80's. Great show!

Nice. One of my favourite bands ever.
Johnette's voice can send shivers up my spine, and James speaks for himself.

I introduced "Still in Hollywood" into a jam group, and made instant fans of them too.

Love Concrete Blonde! I have all of their releases. Some of the songs before the band broke up were great. Really like James guitar work - not fancy at all, but very effective in supporting the songs. Johnette is one of the best singer/songwriters out there.

This is what I thought, too.

She has one of the all-time great, soulful rock voices.

Awesome band! I love the Mexican Moon album. Every track on that one rocks! Bloodletting isn't too shabby either.

We play that song. It's a lot of fun.

I play the intro as the Devil's triad in C#, that is first chord is A string 4th fret and D string 5th fret. Second chord is D string 5th fret, G string 6th fret. Go back and forth between the two. Slide up to it for the first hit. I don't know if that's exact but it's close.
