I'm looking for a nice 3 channel tube amp combo, maybe a head. Something with a nice clean channel, low to moderate gain channel, and high gain channel. An effects loop is important too. I play country, pop/lighter rock, and some hard rock as well, basically anything but jazz, punk, and metal. 6L6 or EL34 doesn't matter much to me. Any suggestions?

sounds like you're the perfect candidate for a Fuchs TDS.

Any thoughts on a Marshall Triple Super Lead or Mode 4, maybe even a Mesa Boogie Dual or Triple Rectifier?

Um. I guess you can go that TSL or Triple Rec way, and they are not terrible, but you'll be back in about 2 months. There are plenty of other options that are SO much better.

    My take:
    Hughes and Kettner Triamp.
    Framus.

I don't recommend the MKIII. It can produce some awesome tone, but you'll find it somewhere between difficult and virtually impossible to get a good tone out of all three channels at the same time. Too much sharing of EQ...

    hey c mac!!
    i have a hughes and kettner tri amp combo with foot switch....2 x 12"s , it runs 4 x el34's, and 7 x 12ax7a pre tubes. it's like 6 amps in one.
each chnl has 2 chnls , it all can be foot switched, or you can use midi.
i might part with it, what do you have to trade??

Used VHT clx or Classic is exactly what you're describing. The Classics seem to go a little cheaper.

My usual answer--- TRY an Egnater or Egnater/Rocktron (on a GIG)--they fly too far under the radar and are a great value.

50 watters are 2 ch with ftsw-boost on each--3-4 fairly different sounds
100 watters have 4 differently voiced channels (with some EQ sharing)
