Good Amp to Mate w/ Vintage30 Celestion 1x12?

Ok, I have a closed-back 1x12 cab with a v-30 and want some head to go well with it. I like classic loud 4x12 50/100-watt stack sounds, esp EL-34s.Think plexi, jtm, jcm800 tones, but not plexi-clones, per-se. Grindy-tight bottom. I don't like a lot of speaker break-up. 15 to 100- watts power ok.
What head will bring this a British Mini-Stack sound??

Bogner Shiva? I've never owned one, but a guitarist I used to play with did. Sounds like it would fit the bill, and I believe it was voiced around the V30.

There are probably quite a few things that would work well here.

i have an Orange Dual Terror that just KILLS with a Celestion V30

yes it is 30 watts with 4 EL84's, but it sounds huge.

Seems like trying to mate a head to go with the speaker you have is the backward approach.

I'd buy a Carvin VT50 (50 watts, EL84 power), send it to Richard Hassebrock to have the Hasserl mods done. http://hasserl.com/vt50_mods. You can have your own tech do them as well; there are pdfs with lists of parts on the page.

I have the Carvin Belair (same head in a 2x12 combo) with the Stage II mods completed and a pair of broken-in Vintage 30's. The description I like best is "Like a vintage Marshall, but with more gain than any vintage Marshall ever had."

Plays well with LPs, but the guitar that seems absolutely made for it is a slightly bright HSH super strat neck-through.
