Anyone know of a good tech in the Atlanta area...preferably on the west side of town...I'm in Douglasville. I've been going to Peter Jones for as long as I can remember but he's way out in Conyers and that's quite a drive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jeff Henry @ Maple Street Guitars (Buckhead). Very good and very timely.

Another +1 for Jeff at Maple Street. He did a full neck reset for me on an old acoustic. On the west side, check out Too Many Guitars.

You can try Jeff Soileau (pronounced Swallow) at info@athensguitar.com. He lives in Athens but comes to Atlanta once a week to pick up work at a store there (I believe Atlanta Discount, but I'm not certain). Jeff's a super guy and a great player as well.

They guy who does work for Boutique Guitar Exchange is good. I can't think of his name, but he does all of their repairs. They are intown, on Highland Avenue between Ponce de Leon and North Avenue.

No, it's Kerry Marchman, he is a friend of mine and does great work. He has worked on all my guitars, and put together a Telecaster for me.

+1 on Kerry. I won't use anyone else.

Whatever you do, NEVER take your guitar to the old guy at Guitar Center... total ripoff
