A used Vintage Lemon Drop. It's basically a relic'ed Peter Green Les Paul.

True-funky relicing, but the PG/Lemon drop comes w/great pickups-
good set-up. upgrade the pots/caps, and a nice guit @ any price

Clownburst V100-E-bay lowball score from a Pawnshop in Canada. Came w/acoustic strings, Eff-Dup set-up (would not stay in tune) Different P/Us than the Lemon drop (Not in a good way)

Proper set up, RS pots, PIO caps, and Guitarforce LOTB pickups ($100 GearPage score), a lightweight classic rock monster.

Xaviere guitars (Guitarfetish.com) has great guits, nice out of the box (stock pickups are nice). Pro set-up and pot up-grade (like most people do on $2k++ Gibsons, right?) and these are great guitars.

My Arbor ap230 will be here Monday. The one I have heard had awesome sound and feel.
I have read other reviews give it good marks. Never heard any negitives. $250 can't go wrong.

I never heard of these, but the reviews are good and they look pretty good on eBay. Let us know how it is.

I've got two of them. Xaviere XV-500. Bought it new in December. Shipped to my door with hard case for $281. Swapped out the tuners, which were the only really cheap thing about the guitar. Put on a brass bridge, vintage Gibson TP-6 tailpiece and black speed knobs just because I felt like giving it the whole classic rock vibe.

2005 Epiphone '56 Gold Top. Found it on e-Bay for $430 used with hard case. The first owner put Lindy Fralin P-90s in it. I changed the Grover Rotomatics to Grover Vintage Deluxe tuners, replaced the TOM bridge with a Gotoh, and put reflector knobs and knob position markers on to get the vintage-correct look.

They are completely different LP types--the XV-500 has a 1/2" maple cap and the GFS Crunchy Pats are pretty high-powered; the Epi is mahogany (no maple) with P-90s. They have required little to no tweaking to get them to play and sound great.

Maybe a bit more than $400, but a Czech built Dean Evo Special is a heck of a LP style guitar.

I got an Elite on ebay for under $400 and let me tell you, this is not a "good for the money" guitar. This thing is serious. From what I gather, they retailed for about $1200-$1300 and are IMO every bit as good as Gibsons. If you can find one of these for a good price, I say grab it.

I got lucky when I found this MIK Tokai, made for the Canadian market.
This guitar is killer, I find myself playing it more than my Gibson...

It finally showed up.
It was a little different than expected.
Instead of chrome it is gold hardware. No complaints.
With some minor set up this guitar is awesome for $250.
Nice neck not chuncky, finish is real nice and the neck is perfect.
I debated between this guitar and one of the Agiles (which I am sure are a good deal). I selected the Arbor because it came highly recommended from a
qualified expert who owns one.

Can't do it right from your computer direct.
You need to get an account (free) like Photobucket, www.photobucket.com, and upload your pic there and then use the link to post it here.

Yes, I picked up a JT200 last summer as an impulse buy. It was pretty and didn't weigh a ton. Nicely finished, plays nice, chambered, 5/8" maple cap over mahogany, mahogany neck, decent hardware, so-so electronics (the BL X500s and pup rings were added).
