For hard rock/alt/metal/blues. I just got my OCD in the mail today but I haven't opened it cause my bday isnt till tomorrow plus I had to go to work. Anyway i don't even know what version it is, is this like a luck of the draw or can you specifically ask for a certain version? Anyway I was thinking of getting either a distortion pedal to add with the OCD or another overdrive. I have a stock TS9 but was thinking of getting the Direct Drive too?

I stack a Timmy pedal before my OCD with excellent results.

I know but the waiting list is looooooooong, in fact Paul sent me an email asking what I wanted and I told him to put me on the list for the Timmy but he never replied to me to tell me if I am on the list.

Xotic BB stacks really well with the OCD though it is quite similar to an OCD so it depends if you want a larger difference in tone.

I have my Barber Direct Drive after my OCD version 1 on one of my rigs and it's a great combo. IMO

I agree, TS808 (and I bet most tube screamers or similar pedals) works great in front of OCD.

Another OCD. I haven't decided if I like heavy into light, or light into heavy better, but they both sound pretty good.

I've been trying different pedals with the OCD lately and...

I just purchased the FuzzHead, but have not had the time to tweek it, (the FuzzHead) What kind of gear are you jammin? I use mainly LP's and a Soldano HR50 thru Marshall cabs. I have tried the BadMonkey(it's a ok contrast to the OCD, more low end, but not clear enough) Tried the Vox Satchurator, it has too much dirt, even at it's lowest settings, it went to my little board into a Fender Pro JR and works well for jams. Tried many others, nothing seems to satisfy what I want, so I was wondering what you use guitar and amp wise, thanks.

Had some good sounds coming out of putting a Keeley BD-2 in front of it.

The secret to stacking, for me, is keeping both pedals low on gain and kicking in one as a boost. I have tried BD-2, Timmy, DDLG, but the most fun, so far has been mixing it with a fuzz. Both are just different enough to really widen the tone. It gets too thick quick on the gain, but it's a cool and fun tone. Enjoy...

I like to use my Fulldrive, in FM mode, ater the OCD. It works really fine the other way around too...

I do an OCD at low gain with a volume boost before a Direct Drive running at higher gain. The end result sounds more like the DD than the OCD, but just a bit thicker with more gain and bite. They're a good combo though...the DD is super smooth and refined with the OCD is crunchier and more articulate/dynamic.

Hmmmm, that's interesting. Another vote for the Direct Drive. I am really getting closer to pulling the trigger on that. I really liked the clip I heard and the reviews I read on that.

How about stacking the ocd with a timmy? Would that be a good combo?
