Basically, I'm looking for a decent omni directional microphone that uses phantom power and plugs via XLR. I have the budget the size of a mouse, so cheap is good, and decent audio quality is all I need... I won't be recording at 96K so it's not like a big budget mic will do me any good!

What I'm planning to do is to record jam sessions in a sloppy "that's close enough" type fashion. plugging and omnidirectional mic to record instruments and a vocal mic for well... vocals, into my Zoom H4.

    Thanks for the help.

I use a Rode K2 and its great. Used they go for about $400-450 and they are multiple pattern and you can blend the patterns as well!
