99% of the stuff from Trucks out there is slide. Blasphemy I know, but to be honest, I'm not a fan of his slide playing. I don't remember where, but I saw some video of him playing blues without a slide and it was great. It's difficult to search this stuff on YouTube though, anyone know of any good videos of Derek playing blues without a slide?

I'm a huge DT fan as well. It should be easier to find clips now, saw them recently and at least a third of the time, he was slide-less. his non-slide playing is fantastic.

I saw TTB a few weeks ago and I was shocked at how little he was playing slide.
I'd say about 50% of the time.

DT killing it slide-less with ABB. He has a couple insanely tasteful runs. Warren's slide is killer as well...

Specifically, the quick lick DT does in the first round of his solo that makes Warren smirk. I listen to this version of Statesboro Blues just for that lick.

Is it Truck's guitar that's so out of tune? Yikes!
