Goodsell Overdrive II - opinions?

    Meh. I'd stay away. I love Richard and have 2
    of his amps right now. That pedal really didn't
    do a single thing for me. :dunno

    yeah kind of thought as much... wondered if the "2" version might have been an improvement as GC has a used one

    I had both. Ended up selling them both.

    I feel there are superiour options in
    other offerings. :)

    I've played one into some Goodsell amps and liked it but its not a very versatile pedal IMO. found just the right settings to kind of boost the amp and it sounded really good. If you built a whole tone around that sound it could be worthwhile but I dunno you would just have to try one I guess.

    I played mine into my Super 17, but it was just OK, until I cranked all the knobs and the amp knobs and then it turned into a Marshall plexi, but uncontrollable in volume, and was noisy, but did sound just like a Marshall 10000 series plexi. At any other setting it was just OK. A Klone is a much better option.
