Well I know I am going to get a Moog MuRF pedal but I have enough for that and either a Carl Martin Plexitone or a Pigtronix EP-1. I know they are not the same type of pedals. I will wind up with all 3 by Christmas. I just don't know whether to get the Plexitone or the EP-1 with the MuRF right now. Whatever I don't get now I will get at X-mas. Let me know your opinions.

    Thanks

Go for the Pigtronix. I don't own one, but after watching the demo video, it seems really versatile and very cool.

    -1 on the Pigtronix EP-1

    > weak envelope follower
    > lots of tweakablility, few sweet spots
    > weird shape (and large)

The Red Witch Moon Phaser is in the same price range, and far superior IMHO - I have also read some nice comments on the Shannon phaser on this forum (and it is less expensive than either)

The MP sounds similar to the EH Small Stone and the Shannon is supposed to sound more like the MXR Script logo.

I give a ten to the EP-1. The right adjustments result in a very responsive envelope follower.
    The phaser sounds incredible.
The overall sound quality of the pedal is super; a very transparent pedal.
Also, I picked up the expression pedal; totally worth it.

+1 for the Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser. Killer pedal. Very transparent. Awesome sounds. Good luck.

Well I pulled the trigger. I purchased the MuRF and the Plexitone from pedalgeek. They should be here by Friday. I can't wait. Next will be the Pigtronix!

Well I got the pedals. I have to say I am really disappointed with the MuRF. It sounds good, but nowhere near as versatile as I thought it would be. It's getting sent back to pedal geek today. Hello Pigtronix EP-1. Hopefully I can get it in my hands by next Wed. or Thurs. The Plexitone on the other hand, I really like a lot. That one is staying.

I guess it just wasn't the effect(s) I was looking for. I am more into phase and the envelope filter, so the Pigtronix makes more sense. I'm glad I got the try the MuRF though, it is a great sounding pedal.
