I have missed this amp as much as I still miss my X50. I got it back from Procos and she was in as perfect condition as it was when I sold it to him. Even the great tube compliment was still in there. GREAT guy to do biz with.

I have a H30/V30 mix in the 3 Monkeys cab.

Speaking of which, I will have a Sock Monkey in the fold, in about a week and a half or so as well :bonk

So good to have this stellar amp back.

Mark has been buying tubes from us for years.......I had no idea that whole time he was building these gems up until 3 years ago! We have 2 of his Liverpools, a Rocket, and I'm not sure what the 4th one is,....it's in my kids rehearsal studio.

And Michael, I still have that Orange AD50 and JMI AC30 I got years ago from you...awesome amps!

No kidding!! I have oft thought about that AD50! I wish that JMI did not have, for me, a bad buying experience. I would have loved to keep it.

Man, what am I saying...
I would have loved to keep the majority of what I have had!

These Kanewrecks are absolutely incredible.

Be well Doug!

V! That is beautiful!!

Thanks Michael - so is yours! I've had a Kane Pool and it was a sweet monster amp - just wonderful!

That was a great amp Nigel, a lot of texture & harmonic magic.
Mark builds some great amps.

Thanks Dan for selling it to me!

I went on a Rocket quest started by Hogy. Hogy and I were chatting on the phone years back and he played his Rocket build. It was incredible, clean shimmering sounds with a slight chorusy texture.

I offered to buy it from him but he couldn't sell. So I went on an amp quest to find those type of tones. I've had a Kane Rocket - actually had Mark build me a standard one and a hi-gain Rocket. Great amps but that chorusy thing wasn't there. Everything else you would want was but not that slight shimmer I wanted.

I lucked on Dan's amp for sale and when I got it - WHAM!! That sound I'd spent probably $20k in amps to get - it was there! It's on my no sell list -I just love it. I've talked to Mark several times about it and Mark confirmed it's a standard Rocket. I guess it's just the components aligning to give it the particular magic I was seeking.

It's actually on loan to Tom Bartlett (best Les Paul type guitars IMO) who loves it - even more than his Allyn Meyers built Express! I know they are different amps but that speaks to Mark Kane's quality as the Meyers amps are renowned Trainwreck builds as well

Cheers

Kick ass Michael! I remember seeing your original demo of it and thinking that amp definitely belongs in your hands. Congrats brother!

It'd be a whole lot cooler if you did.

I have one of Mark's Rocket Reverb's and it does that chorus/phasing thing that I heard on one of Moss's Space Cadet..also a Rocket 'verb.

My Dumble builds from MK are silly too. I need to fire up the Rocket today..

Alex - is that X-wing layout oriented the same as traditional Rockets? I notice it is opposite of Liverpool and Express.

Here's my Kanewreck Liverpool:

Great amps guys!

Mark,
Yes, that is a Hanson. Really great guitar beyond the money. I like that it has a slimmer waist than a traditional 335, which, to me, looks sexier. It feels different/more comfortable/less imposing on me than a 335 as well. Very happy with the guitar. It has already become my main gigging instrument.
