ok maybe not litterally but last night I played a gig where the band opening up for us used this for the electric. Off the shelf strat straight into this bad boy. The band sounded great. The music was kinda loungy blues with a chick singer not my cup of tea but they were really tight at what they do.

the guitar player had a kind of 90's Clapton tone that really worked for him.

Being jealous of his ignorance to all things gear I gave him the name to this site so he can learn just how wrong it is to play such a POS regardless of how it sounds. Now he can sell that amp right away and start spending all of his hard earned cash on gear that will make him sound no better than he already does. :D

Good thing you set him straight (GRIN). You take your tone where you find it, IMHO.

Are you allowed to say 'ass' in a thread title?

Might I suggest changing it to "tushy" or "butt" or "booty"

Surely we don't need to remind you where you're posting?

    Hahahaha.

I was kidding, although there was a good chance you'd get a month ban or something.

This place is like a pre-school sandbox.

All you have to do is call me a poop head or a dummy.

    Ok your a poop head...sorry I couldn't resist :)

I am just kidding around. I want to make sure that you understand that. I never ment anything personal I am just a bit slap happy after being up almost all night.

A dry sense of humor does not always translate well via typed words on a page.

If I have a problem with you I would take it off line.....generally :)

enjoy the sandbox! and I really don't think that you are a poop head. I don't know you well enough to make such a rash judgment....although in my defense my title does clearly indicate that I am judgmental.....

Well, I'm glad you were able to set him on the right path.

In no time flat he'll be far too embarrassed to be seen playing through that in public.

Sometimes a player is so good and has such fundamentally good tone with the provided equipment, that they just don't need the high end gear.

However, just think how good that same player would have sounded through one the state of the art PTP amps we read about in this forum everyday, piped into a top quality cab with excellent speakers. :D
