Has anyone changed their VSVG trem bridge for a 510 ?
I've read it was a drop in job, but Tyler tells me they have to route.
    Anyone done this ?

The 510 uses two large studs that are 10mm in diameter.

The VSVG uses a vintage style 6 screw mount. Yes you'll need to route.

The 510 is available in 6 bolt config also.

A slight adjustment with a dremol is required to accommodate the arm mech (5 mins.)

yeah I just talked with Tyler, it's weird because the measurements for the VSVG are larger all the way around than the 510. I'm ordering one . . .even if I have to mod the guitar a little it will be worth it for the easy intonation adjustments.

For vintage 6 screws or VSVG which is a drop in replacement:

For all other Wilkinsons and Gotoh 510 that uses two studs.

The routing needs to be wider to accomadate the large bushing that houses the trem arm.

The top plate is smaller in dimension on the 510-xx2 (6 screws) but under the hood it's bigger/wider due to the arm busing under the plate.
