    Very cool.

Great tone- are you sure he’s playing through the Soldano? Looks like a red Marshall-style behind him.

I’m still pissed that he took away one of my favorite drummers from Sarasota, Matt Abts :band

I love Warrens playing, love the band (in all its versions) Gov’t Mule, his work solo and with ABB.

That said, to me this is not his best stuff and really didn’t work for me. I know his best stuff as melodic, and built up solos, phrasing, etc. but to me this was a lot of “guitar store noodling”, hitting some Hendrix trademarks like the bend up, and come down on the next string, etc.

It didn’t sound or look to me like he was really into this. In fact felt like he was struggling a little to get it going. Also really didn’t like the sound of the wah. To me it was too much change in Q and not interacting well with the amp, dirt.

Of course, being Warren, there are buts here and there that connect, but even the band...I don’t know if folks got lost or if it was arranged this way but early in after the first chorus somewhere in there it sounded like the band was still on the chorus while Warren was back to the verse...specially the organ doing something that seemed to me to be the chorus.

Just as a listener, and fan of Warren, I didn’t feel it like I do on almost anything he does.
It’s just one opinion. To me this wasn’t the level I feel from him normally.

Glad others felt it was great.

Best thing about Warren is he's just a really nice guy. Have gotten to hang out with him a few times, and he's just as down to earth as you've heard.

As many know, the story is Warren and Woody were on a tour bus digging a bunch of classic rock trio stuff, and Woody said "You know, if we got the right drummer, we could put together something like that."

    They got the right drummer.

Back when I was in college in Sarasota, Matt was my favorite local drummer. But yeah, he made the right move.

I just wish Woody was still with us

    Saw it. Dug it.

You really have to hear Mule's Halloween Hendrix set. Warren is unreal.
