Was that a Trainwreck I saw lurking in the shadows behind Mr. Paisley? I know he has 'em, but would he drag a real one onstage, or a replica?

He has one that belonged to a friend(passed away) but supposedly he blew it up. So what you saw was probably a replica.

John Mayer was just on with Alicia Keys and had a Two Rock head and a Dumble head running thru 2 Two Rock vertical 2X12s. Not sure about the model of each as the camera didn't zoom in. His vintage strat looked pretty killer as well.

BP has a Liverpool at the very least. He brings it out for special occasions. I wasn't watching the show, but I wouldn't be surprised if it made an appearance.

If it is the same guitar, MAyer's strat is a custom shop relic I believe. He has been using that black one for quite awhile now.

Did you see the Red Bogner Shiva with (2) 4x12 cabs played by the guy during Tina Turner's set? That is alot of real estate for a 7 minute performance.

I caught a glimpse of a Demeter on the Foo stage when they were showcasing the 3 young musicians.

Paisley is a great player and as always makes it look effortless.

Mayer had great tone as usual

I guess if your going to play at the Grammys, might as well go all the way, Don't know who that guy was w/ the Shiva , but his tone was good and he was definately in the mix! Tina sure rocked for her age!:dude

I could hear Mayer for at least the 1st half of his performance and thought it sounded great.

Also- what is the demeter used for with the Foo's? They were great.

Even if the performance is only for a couple minutes the photos and video taken last a long time......especially with artist endorsement deals.:)
lol, and John Mayers setup?, for a few seconds and a few notes that couldn't be heard...what a waste of time and money even transporting those amps to the show.

He should have used a Pod.
