That VLC worked great for me thanks. Little buggy, but I think it's the fact I'm still on a G3.

    Fantastic tones.

I have a mac and it didn't work at first, VLC is my "go to" program when quicktime or whatever can't open it. Maybe I should have mentioned that. I had to download and open them in VLC.

They are the same. Mac guys, get VLC video player and open with that. You might also want Flip4Mac, it makes all Windows Media Player files open up in Quicktime, way better since MS discontinued WMP for Mac...

Sorry, but I can't say I'm particularly impressed. Mostly played high on the fretboard, and on the very rare occasion that he dabbled down low, it sounded pretty awful to me. As always, YMMV.

i wouldn't categorise that fellow as a metrosexual by any stretch of the imagination. "alternative™" would be far more indicative of his archetype. i don't get 'snotnosed' either. everything2 tells me that "snot-nosed" refers to "inexperienced youth". it's clear that the ad tries to portray a mac user who is young, savvy, alternative™ (give me a break. baggy jeans and a t-shirt and 'bed head' are just about as mainstream as it gets) and above all, sophisticated and cutting edge.
it's an advertisement and propaganda fer gosh sakes. it's complete B.S. that's meant to manipulate ppl into thinking that they need an electronic gee-gaw. it plays on archetypes (geeky, corporate, status quo guy vs. cool, alterno™, creative guy) to instill within ppl that they should think about how their possessions define who they are as humans.
whether U think the ad is "silly", as U say, or mildly humourous in a post-modernist, ironic sense (which in and of itself has become it's own cliche) it's still just a frickin' TV commercial.
    i HATE TV commercials
