Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime (great songs, playing, theme holds together well - killer start to finish)

This. So much great music, but this is an underrated gem. I rate it as the best "metal" album of all time, and it's probably the studio album that I listen to the most front-to-back. These days I'll listen mostly to mixed of made of my favorite bands. Mindcrime is one of those albums that works best as a whole. It's really like one long, incredible song. I love it.

I'm not playing but just want to point out that in British polls over like 20 years "Revolver" won consistently in the pop/rock category with Sgt Pepper coming close behind.

I'd also like to point out that "Dark Side Of The Moon" stayed in the top 10 Billboard charts for something like 14 years.

This is off the top of my head, too lazy to look it up. Something may have surpassed them.

I have some Bela Bartok string quartets that are pretty mind boggling as well as some Weather Report. The list goes on.

For me it's The Allman Brothers Live at Filmore East!
I've worn it out on Vinyl many times. Also on 8 Track, Cassette and CD.

Cheers,

After Relayer, this is my favorite album, the one "we always wanted to make."

"Of all the Jethro Tull... this was their finest hour."

Thx :)
