Live after death is top 5 for me. Also in no particular order:

Allman Brothers "Live at the Fillmore", Johnny Winter And "LIve" both released in 1971. It featured Ric Derringer, whom I met at a Dallas Guitar Show. I even got to play out of his amp. Very nice guy, and a killer guitarist.

I don't think they made an album out of it, but there's a great video of it on youtube.

Alestorm - Live in Tilburg.
Looks like it would have been great fun to be at.

Just a couple off the top of my head:

Who Live At Leeds
James Brown at the Apollo Theatre
Deep Purple Made In Japan
Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East
Ray Charles Live in Atlanta
Frank Zappa Make A Jazz Noise Here
Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From The Road
Miles Davis Ascenseur Pour L'Echafaud (this was all live takes of music Miles and his band jammed out while watching scenes from a French movie, release in 1957, the music was used for the soundtrack)

Lots of great albums mentioned already... I have a fondness for Live Cream 1 and it was the album that made me realize what all the fuss over Clapton was about. I might go for The Cramps, Live At Napa State Hospital but that's really a video isn't it. If I have to go with just one live album it has to be:

Lots of great live albums but the 3 that stick out most to me are:
Frampton Comes Alive
Live at Leeds
One More From the Road
