Doing some research for a new amp and came across the greer studio 10
http://phatdaddyguitarworks.com/amps05.php... Anyone have one? What are they like tone-wise? Looking for something tweed-esque and was set on the Swart STR-Tweed then i saw this.... Kinda strapped for cash and $750 is a good price.. Any thoughts?

I've only played through one briefly...killer little combo. Give Big Mike a shout and ask him aobut it, he'll give you the lowdown.

I used to own serial#1. Great little amp. Pretty loud for 10 watts too. I really liked the tube swapping option too. Changed the tonality of the amp quite a bit. That thing killed with an EL34 in it.
To me, it was kind of blend between tweed and blackface. Not as raunchy as a tweed, but not as clean as a blackface either.

really well built amps. Nick's customer service rocks too.

I don't own this particular Greer, but I do own a Greer and have dealt with Mike. You will not find a better amp company and you will not find a better guy to deal with. I'm in the process of specing a Greer cabinet with Mike now

I am a little late for the party, but, I also own a Studio10. Great little amp... and as mentioned, PLENTY loud. Hard to believe it's just 10 watts.

The tube switching is really nice. Especially handy in a recording studio situation when you are trying to find just that "right tone".

Peace,
Aldwyn
