    Hi,

I'm Réa (pronounced Ray... it's Irish)

I was recommended this forum somewhere else as being one of the good ones, so thought I'd check it out.

I've been studying and playing guitar for a bit over 10 years and more recently also teaching, I find music theory quite fascinating! I also share some lessons amongst other guitar related things on YouTube.

    So yeah Hi :D

I'm actually British, from North London but I moved to Dublin, Ireland with my wife in 2013.

Hi there Bob, and thanks, I do love it. Just a bit sad that apparently I have abnormally corrosive sweat, or the top was not done well... Only had it about 4 years now and theres a considerable amount of darkening where my arm rests :/

Hey Réa, welcome, greetings from a New Englander (Natick, Massachusetts), I just now joined TGP, started the guitar learning journey ~10 years ago also but likely at a more advanced age than you, and BTW my dad was English but his dad was from Cobh so I'll say I'm Irish also. Thinking of fleeing the states for IE maybe Dublin, any thoughts welcome..

Well Dublin is great but it is rather an international city these days, and very expensive. My wife and I are still deciding whether to stay in Ireland or not, but if we do I would like to move to another city really, where it's more Irish and less expensive :p
