If I wanted to put new pickups in my 62 Corvette, what would you suggest?

Depends on what you like. I've got a Gibson P-90 in my 61

My friend put some Lollar pup on his. Not sure what it was. Absolute killer on that guitar. Check the Lollar site. Hopefully it will be obvious which one it was.

Doug, do yourself a favor and contact Dave Stephens at Stephens Design Pickups: http://www.sdpickups.com/products.shtml

He is a master with this type of pickup. He makes some unbelievably good single coil pickups. Anyone whose hero is Harry Dearmond is ok in my book. I've had some of his pickups and found them to be of the highest quality and uniqueness.

I have a pair of his Dirty Harry pickups in a custom guitar - they're a great tribute to the DeArmond sound, with hints of Tele and P-90 thrown in for good meausre. However, they're the size of humbuckers and I believe they would require additional routing. Then again, so would most modern pickups.
