Hi guys, can't seem to find the fret size on the net. Anyone knows what they use on gretsch penguins? Also, what bigsby do u recommend for replacing the Cadillac pc? Am guessing for a penguin!

Recent issue Penguins (White Penguins...Black Penguins) have rather small vintage style fret wire. I don't know the exact size for sure.

    As for a Bigsby for a Penguin...You want a B3.

The best replacement would be this one with the Gretsch logo & the V cut-out.

The standard B3 would do the job just fine too (might not look as cool).

I agree...I probably would have bought one if not for the small frets.

In my opinion...the best Gretsch in that style is the Power Jet.

They have the medium jumbo frets, Sperzel locking tuners, pinned bridge, hotter pickups (TV Jones Powertrons).

Its like a Duo Jet that is hot rodded right out of the box....you don't have to do anything to them...just play them & they rock like all holy hell.

Everything is perfect...the Bigsby stays in tune...they sound & play great.

You could always whip out the pla$tic and have the Custom Shop build you one with larger frets! Or, buy a used one and have it re-fretted with fret size of your choice.
