After a 4 month wait, it's finally done. Got the call from Stu at FatSound just a few minutes ago. Stu said my Grosh looks almost identical to the Collings below; it's 3-tone tobacco burst over swamp ash.

Of course it has the dark tortoise shell pickguard, what they call “brown tortoise”.
Aged white plastic. Very dark, almost black brazillian rosewood fretboard. Fralin SP43 and underwound Blues Specials.

He said there were some guys standing around when he got it in and opened the case; and their jaws dropped. :dude

I'm sitting here in my office eating lunch and starring at my Grosh RC. You guys aren't gonna believe this thing!!! I would advise you to go ahead and drink a bottle of Pepto or Mylanta. I will try to get some pics up tonight.....

Sweet guitar. Fat Sound is a few minutes from my house. Waiting is tough. I ordered a G&L Legacy there in mid-September and I still haven't gotten the call :(

Cool color combo--one of my faves. Hope you love your RC like I love mine.

Very nice! Now you need a Set Neck that matches the finish and you'll be set! I'll tell you, Stu's almost as bad as a crack dealer!:D

Beautiful burst on the guitar! Congrats on your new RC. I must say, Grosh has done some of the best bursts I've seen. When I first ordered my Grosh RC with a two tone burst I was a bit worried because I've seen a lot of high-end guitars which had bursts I did not like. Fortunately when mine arrived it was done perfectly! Yours is another great example! Mega sweet!

Thanks guys. The photos do it no justice either....the grain is remarkable. This is a 3 tone tobacco burst which fades to a deep maroon. It's flawless.
