Close - in size - to the Cube, but still very cold.

    Hint: Low-cost Fenders.

I wanna say a nice DeluxeVerb. It sounds amazing whatever it is! Great Playing all the way though, reminds me of a good jam thing (not the poser stuff kids are into these days.)

Very close. An early 90's Blues Deluxe with a Celestion V30, plus a more recent Blues Jr with a Jensen C12N.

Tubescreamer 808 set with drive all the way down and gain all the way up.

Overall, an old-school sound approach, but a refinement of the basic Fender formula I've used since '76, with a little bit of the Silvertone sound I used before that.

Thanks for the compliment. BTW: It's not just kids who are sometimes into poser stuff these days. ;-)

Play more of what you want to hear than what you want to play.

Part II: Care to guess the guitar? Should be much easier.

Well, I don't know about the gear you used, but I shure dig it! Nice playing, touch, tone and phrasing. Cool grove too.

    'Appreciate it.

Actually, I gave it away in the first post: It's a Les Paul Special, but a very special "Special". It's a Japanese Burny/Fernandez Les Paul "Super Grade" LP copy. Flame maple top, one piece mahogony body, 1960 neck, 8.5 lbs. The pickups at the time were Dimarzio PAF Classics, though they've recently been replaced with WCR Coils. Very nice playing, extremely well finished out, affordable player guitar.
