Guitar + Cable + Amp guys - What amps are you using?

    A fellow forum member started a thread about Guitar straight into amp. well I thought I take it a step further and ask,What type of amp are you guys using for the Guitar + Cable + Amp setup ? Is it a multi channel amp? a single channel amp? A clean amp? NMV? MV? So watcha using?

    THD Univalve and I am hoping a new Reeves Custom Lead High Gain will give an even better sound. I play with pedals but I just love the interaction of straight in. Strat Plus with Suhr V60-lp pickups.:dude

    But for a few years, it has been a McNaught into a Bogner XTC 101B, into 2 Bogner cubes. Soon to be a Suhr into a Diezel Einstein combo and Bogner cube, until I sell my Suhr and get a ??? :jo

    Chapin Fatline though Zoala Cable into either an Alessandro Beagle Black n Tan into a Blue. OR a Two Rock Custom into a Harry Joyce.

    I use one of a pair of Blues Juniors. The black one is all stock except I loaded it with a Jensen P12N (no bell cover). The tweed one has JJ EL84s and Sovtek 12AX7s. I've got a P12N on order for it. I guess it's also worth noting that I covered the cab in shellac to make it look extra vintage. I may put 12AU7s in it just to see what happens.

    Gibson R8 - JCM800 or Jubilee.
    I love this setup, sounds great, and cover a lot of styles.

    Gries 35 or the gkoelling.

    The Gries has a mv, the gkoelling doesn't.

    Both single channel.

    A couple of SG's into either a 59 Bassman Ltd RI or a Sound City 50 Plus into a Ken Jones 4x12. I do have an OCD i use if I want more gain, but thats about it. Ohh, and a TU 2 if that counts.

    I've been enjoying the sound of a Tele straight into a Richter Tweed Deluxe. A lot of versatility in tone by working only the guitar's volume and pickup selector.

    A strat or tele into my Pure 64 Mean Street Classic. Curve switch in the 3rd position and nothing else is needed.

    Good follow up!

    One-off Matamp GT w/mv mod
    Harry Joyce Custom 50 (essentially a DR504)
    Hiwatt DR504
    ElectricAmp (MatUsa) Matamp GT clone 120 watt w/ "fuzz" control.
    Reeves Custom 12 combo w/ swapped out Fane 12"
    Swart 6V6se 5 watt.

    The Matamp cabs have Greenbacks and Blues respectively. The Blues get really fuzzy...but I like that.
    The Swart starts breaking up at lower than TV volumes.

    2003 Brazilian R9 straight into a Bad Cat HC30, so much sweet tone there, effects would just wreck it.

    Usually a 335, but sometimes a Turner Model 1, into the super reverb. This month though, I've been loving a les paul into the Quinn brown derby. Is it still guitar-cord-amp if the vibrato switch plugs into the amp?
