I've had Lava cables go out.

These $7 (@ 10 ft.) have been really good to me.

For some reason, I'm hard on cables and I've experienced zero issues with either of these.

So far my most reasonable options by just looking at the numbers (low capacitance, shielding and cost) are (in descending order):

I think the most problematic thing with cables is the plugs. Decent quality cable is very easy to come by but I've had terrible luck with the connectors. The designs of many good brands have failed on me repeatedly - right now I have a George L with small flat right angle plugs that won't pass signal. Planet Waves are great for stationary connections but those lovely sculpted plugs won't take fiddling. Also, on a pedal board they are way too bulky - George L's are better but I found some cheap Chinese 6" patch cables at Ametron in Hollywood which are my favorite pedal-to-pedal connectors because of their reliability and flatness.

Almost all my cables are Fender custom shop black tweed. The plugs are not the smallest you can get but they seem to be very robust.

They come with in straight plug and angled so that works well so that works out good with my pedalboard.

I have 10' from guitar to board
6x 6" patch cable
10' from board to amp
2x 10' for the FX loop to the board and back to the amp

I buy them at Bax shop in the Netherlands.

I haven't seen that particular model in Chile, but keep in mind that apparently Rattlesnake cables have a capacitance between 20 and 25pF/ft, Covenant is 20 and the Sommer LLX is around 15.8 and 16pF/ft. I'm just looking at the numbers here but low capacitance is indeed very important along with a high quality shielding and great connectors.

best bang for the buck i have found is cables made by sinusoid. you can choose your wire and plugs. the 4 that i use have held up very well to regular stage use.

I decided to go with Lava Ultramafic. I found some on Reverb.com that were priced a little lower that on the Lava website. The Ultramafics are priced lower than mogami and I think they have lower capacitance.

I am also thinking about going with Lava Tephra for my speaker cable. I saw a comparison on youtube and they seemed to sound better.

I use planet waves for just about everything, the exception being my coily lead.

The American Stage are fantastic cables. The cable station cables are nice as well.
