So I walked into Michaels Arts and Crafts store and asked the very nice lady how to make my guitar case so reflective that it would blind people. I was holding two different cans of glitter spray paint as I explained that I'd recently had a stolen guitar returned to me and I was willing to do whatever it took to protect it. I relayed to her that I wanted it to shine like the sun so if anyone walked away with it they would first have to wrap it in a blanket. She calmly looked down at my spray paint and said "well that's not going to work at all. You only need two things; Elmer's and glitter." Thanks nice lady at Michael's, it worked liked a charm. Sure everything is covered in glitter for now and the next few years but my SKB case is now unquestionably mine.... and ridiculously shiny.

After the glue dried I sprayed a clear coat over it to make it a little more road worthy. If the glitter doesn't last next time I'll finish it in a spray enamel.

What if it's stolen on an overcast day?

hmm that is so uncool that it is kinda cool and if you get a gig with miley cyrus you are good to go as a bonus? Have fun with it.

I was inspired by Prince who wore an entire gold glitter outfit playing the intro to the NBA conference finals. He's too ballsy not to be cool. And yes, if Taylor Swift wants to buy it I will trade her the case for one of her 35 Taylors, straight up.

I just make a highly visible point of licking the handle to my case, and thus far, it has never been stolen.

I'm generally not a glitter fan, but I like it!

I agree with the, "It's so uncool that your level of not caring about being cool is cool in itself." I see a case like that and I assume I would like the owners personality.

pretty bad ass actually. nothin wrong with a little gaudy bling once in awhile. Spray clear coat will probably greatly help keep it intact. :)

I've thought about putting some hunter orange tape on my cases as well, something to try.

That glitter does make it tough to take that guitar to a pawn shop.

It's great if you don't mind glitter on anything and everything.

What matters is you like it. I happen to agree. Is it falling off and making a mess though?

bling...don't bling....whatever rocks your world, ya know?

that said: Elmer's glue is for porous surfaces, which that plastic case isn't. I anticipate that this stuff will rub off & make a mess in your car.

You're gonna have glitter scattered throughout your house, car, and clothing for the next 10 years.

:agree but that thing does look cool. I wonder if you could put some kinda coating over it to prevent glitter on everything forever more...........
