Got a great email deal today, then this:

Earlier today we sent an email that displayed the price on the new Les Paul Traditional Pro II at $1,199.99 - this was an error. The correct price is $1,999.99.

Look....it's hard to defend GC after some of the horror stories I've read.....but someone made a mistake....what's the big deal? Missing one price out of thousands isn't a crime, and I've seen it happen with plenty of other stores. I don't know....but GC Bashing seems like a sport around here.....and since there's actual people who work there, and that belong to TGP,....guys just making a living..... I just think it's tacky.

I'm pretty sure all my posts on this board have been positive towards GC.
Been a customer of GC since the early 80's back when it was a little shop in downtown San Diego. I think they're great.

I called GC once to see if they had an Orange Tiny Terror in stock for me to demo and after about 5 minutes they came back said "we only have white ones in stock"

they're not all bad; i just got a used mesa vertical slant 2x12 for $300 from GC, shipped in from another store, GC clerk opened the box for me and helped me inspect it.

They all make mistakes. Recently MF had a Yamaha 48 channel digital mixing board that retailed for $49K advertised for $599. The ad said 99% savings or something like that. My coworker, who likes to buy and resell stuff, immediately bought two of them and went through the "oops we made a mistake" dance. He did get a nice discount coupon out of it, but that's all he got. They eventually said basically "that's all we'll do for you, go away".
