Guitar direct to interface

I have been experimenting recording with the guitar plugged directly into my Saffire interface. Overall I am very pleased with the overall quality. I used one of the JS amp sims (JTM45-Deluxe) and added a touch of reverb in Reaper

Definately more wife friendly than cranking an amp to try ideas.

Let me know what you think.

Guitar ES-335
SW : Reaper 3.75
Interface : Saffire (old white one)

Nice. . .Sounded like you mic'd a clean amp. Nice emulation. How does it sound with overdriven tone?

Thanks. Haven't tried it with distortion as of yet. Might try taking the send out on one of my amps into the Saffire and see what I get.

Been experimenting with different reverb plugins and found one yesterday that sounds very good. It is called TAL-REVERB nice plugin. Sounds more like what I expect reverb to sound like.

I dunno Gary. Had a kind of generic tone for me. Maybe a touch much short verb?
