    thanx for posting this. I've been thinking of upgrading from my PW cradle and this is now the top candidate. I like the PW because it'll fit in the toolbox for road gigs or for when the "dr needs to make a housecall", but it gets a bit frustrating when you find yourself working on lots of guitars at home.

    Anything else similar that anybody can recommend?

    weird ... I had a dream last night that i got chased up a telephone pole by a rouge herd of wild bison ... and now you link this bison leather thing.

    Hey, it works! I couldn't find mine (Gander Mtn purchase though, from at least 6 years ago...). I liked the idea of stuffing it with rice though - will suck up extra moisture, won't go bad (anytime soon at least!), and won't make a mess like sand would if it accidentally opens up! it's a simple Gun Rest - I have two - this one, and a smaller (front sight) one for a long-gun that I use for electrics.

    Both fit nicely into a simple briefcase for grab-n-go teching. You can also use a drum practice pad for the body - they are already flat, durable, and easy to deploy! Instant tech bench setup for any flat surface large enough to accommodate...
