Hello fellow guitar enthusiasts!! I've been enjoying guitars for about twenty years but I've only recently taken it to the next level. I practice quite a bit these days and get together with a bassist and drummer every weekend. Our repertoire includes "Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin", "Walkin' the Dog - Aerosmith", "Mary Had A little Lamb - SRV" and other blues based rock songs. My influences are Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Alex Lifeson, Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond from The Strokes, Matt Bellamy from Muse, Jack White and all the great blues/ jazz guitarists. My style is someone sloppy but I like it that way since Jimmy Page is my ultimate hero. Guitars: 1992 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite (Main guitar) Fender Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan Hotrail at the bridge 1960's VOX hollowbody with bigsby. Martin DX-1 acoustic Martin DM-12 12 string acoustic Takamine G-series acoustic Amps: Two Marshall MG250DFX's (2x50 Watts, 2x12 in) Effects: Whirlwind A/B switch (used to connect both amps simultaneously) MXR Phase 90 MXR Blue Box (with C11 transistor mod) Dunlop Cry Baby MXR DC Brick Connected with two 6 foot cables, 3 6 inch patch cables, and one 10 foot cable. Current set up configuration: Amps > A/B switch > MXR Phase 90 > Blue Box > Cry baby > Guitar I'm considering purchasing an MXR noise gate because I have a lot of unwanted noise. Also considering not using the distortion channel on my Marshall and buying a pedal. Any advice of how I can trick out my rig is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
