I recieved this relic 52er Tele from Erik Van de Haar. It's truly an amazing instrument, which sounds and plays very nicely. It rings like a gong, and is extremely light. Thought I'd share my excitement with you guys. :)

Here are the specs and pics.

    Very light swamp ash body
    Maple neck (fat shape)
    6100 frets
    Lollar vintage 52 pickups
    Klusons
    Vintage Fender bridge
    Butterscotch Nitro finish
    Oiled neck

Yeah...was about to say the same.
I can understand that you can save some money by purchasing in-store scuffed instruments, but this is taking the concept a little too far :D :D

Jus' kidding... Would he do me a '69 Thinline in natural w/ a nice chonky neck?

I'm sure he would. BTW, I also have a strat and I asked him to do the same neck shape. It's not a baseball bat "seegs approved" neck (by that I mean like 1" all the way), but it's close to a full 1".

Tell the luthier to watch out for the Fender Gestapo on that headstock. If you hear a chainsaw coming...RUN!

    (just kidding...beautiful relic.)

American trademark/copyright laws don't apply to a guitar made in europe, unless your selling it in the US.
