Guitar test songs?

I realized on my latest GC visit that I have unconsciously created a "set list" of songs that I like to play with each guitar to get the feel of the sound, and gets me familiar with the whole neck. Of course, I will play other songs and scales, but I have found that recently each guitar gets at least three of these four put through them:

Clean: I'll extend the short jam of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room that John Mayer used in the Two Rock Demo video:

and

The little bossa nova diddy that dognmoon used on his Egnator Renegade demo (around 4:00 or so):

A little dirty: Sultans of Swing:

And if I do go full gain, I like to break out Damage Control by John Petrucci:

Anyone else do this too?

I have a MIA V32 Palomino. It is still completely stock and for the most part I am happy with it. It hasn't gotten much play since I picked up the Renegade, but for some reason it's one of those things I can't bring myself to part with.

I noodle some and maybe throw some Zep or Jimi in, but mostly I play my own original stuff.

Try doing some popping/slapping on the lower strings and you can really hear the differences between pups and rigs, in general. It stresses everything.
Setups for metal need not apply!

When I go to GC to crank up a VOX valvestate, I like to play the intro to Crazy Train... :Devil

It varies with electric guitar gear. But with acoustic guitars, the first thing I try to play is Zep's "Over the Hills and Far Away." If I can get a good response with those pull-offs, I know the neck and action are good.

Varies, but when using medium to heavy gain I always play the opening to "What Do You Do For Money Honey" by AC/DC. Open chords E,G,D,A - I feel like I can tell if the guitar 'breathes' on these open chords. Then comes the pointless pentatonic noodling.
