casino for me. i think i actually prefer it to the neck alone, which is really strange for me.

Not exactly a "middle" position, but my favorite Strat tone is position #4. Turn the volume pot down to about 8 and it's perfect.

1) Flying V with Peter Green out of phase sound in the middle position

2) Strat. I don't usually like combined sounds, so guitar whose middle position has a pickup all to itself is going to get plenty of attention.

G&L ASAT Special: a wonderfully chiming rhythm sound, with just enough grit to pack a bit of wallop. And an old ES125TDC: the neck alone is deep and very plummy, while the middle position lightens it a little (and the control set-up makes it hugely variable - the bridge pup alone is quite shrill).

strat - pretty much the only position I use and it does pretty much anything... it blows my mind actually... It may just be MY strat (American deluxe). I don't play it that often at gigs, but id have to say it is probably the most versatile pickup position in my entire lineup...

middle position is awesome. for 2 humbucker or 2 p90 guitars I use it constantly for playing rhythm parts. on strats I use it constantly for solo tone.

ES-335. The warmth of the neck with the bite of the bridge. Very 3D sounding...I stay there most of the time.

My Firebird 3 stays in the middle, adjustments are made with volume controls alone. It's a wonderful sound.

Right now, Forshage Neo, which has a two bucker set up. Just got it about a month ago, so haven't dialed it in completely, but I'm digging that blended pup position.

My Asher with 3 gold foils because the middle pickup rules!

As far as 2 pickup guitars, Les Pauls are great for this, especially the P-90 ones.
