Guitarmoire?

I'm thinking of trying to find a guitar storage solution for a small apartment. An armoire-type thing kinda fits my line of thought. I'm thinking of hanging them like suits, maybe 5 or 6 electrics, on a rod, with some foam or something between them so they won't be clanking together by accident.

Nothing "boutique", i'm talking a modest budget (couple hundred). I've got some ideas but i wonder if anyone has any suggestions?

That doesn't sound like it would be any less space than a rack stand, and maybe some on wall hangers above that.

I like that a lot. I was thinking of building some racks that would sit over a half stack and allow you to store 5-6 guitars behind a pair of doors. If you wanted to hide the half stack you could have upper and lower doors.

Great ideas in this thread. As far as that giant armoire (which is awesome, btw!) is a bit of overkill for me, just for a few guitars. I think i only have 2 or 3 cases, mostly bags.

I would just use a rack stand but i don't want them on display, so to speak.
