    Hi !
Here's my latest creation, supposed to be a guitarsolo with majestic feeling. It is a VERY rough mix, the guitar is not supposed to be so in-your-face. Less volume, some more reverb and pan is probably necessary. And yes, I KNOW the vibrato is way too much..or is it ?
Makes the solo stand out, that's for sure.Anyway, here it is (the solo only)

Update : Here is the whole song ; (only missing real drums)

I kinda like the over vib thing there. It's got a character. Brian May and Beck went for things that Geetarists shouldn't really do for fear of offending the taste chiefs. They went for it anyway. I think you can hear a thing going on there that is interesting. I hear it too.

Coming from you, that is a really huge compliment. Hope you are getting better,(I've read your story) and thanks again for the very inspiring words.Makes me think I'm developing my own style, and that is my intention.

Can I ask how you are getting so much sustain on that guitar? What are you using? Thanks!

I'm using my Stratocaster from '72, scalloped, and with quite high stringheight.Pickups are from a YJM-strat,DiMarzios.
I know that the 0.10 e-string provides a lot of the tone and sustain for me. I also hit the strings harder than most players. I get the same tone almost on every gear I use ampwise.Everything on full, except treble and presence. And of course lots of distortion.
    Thank you for listening !

Tasteful choice of notes!!! I thought when it started "great just a waste of time", Then I was like "damn !!! NICE" as I was knocked back to my senses thanks to the very unexpected choice of notes, It has to me a very operatic vibe thanks to the Vibrato, Really great !!!
