Just purchased my H9 yesterday. I find that many of the H9 presets create crazy chaos/mayhem that seems to want to blow up my amp. They just get out of control REALLY fast. What am I doing wrong? I have adjusted the input gain and amp not using any other effects in the signal chain when this happens. Is there another global setting I need to adjust? Example: 1984PANAMA just goes into high frequency oscillation almost instantly when I activate the pedal. Thanks

Definitely not right, maybe someone altered those presets? Was it used?

Brand new. I did a factory reset this morning just to make sure I hadn't hit some global setting by accident and have the input gain set pretty tame.

You say nothing else is in line, but that's really not true. Have you tried with it completely removed from your board's switching device? Just straight from guitar to H9 to amp, and do you get the same results (isolate variables in order to diagnose).

Definitely not right. How are you powering it?

I agree, just go guitar > h9 > amp with no other pedals. See if it still does it.

Yes - it happens if I am running the H9 alone, separate from the looper. It happens on multiple amps and with both the factory PS and my Gigrig Evenflo adapter

When setting it up, it seems like I remember having to select source (guitar, bass, synth, PA). Did you set to guitar?

huh. You're not using the expression input as an audio output to your amp on accident are you? Highly unlikely I know but I can't come up with anything else.

    Using proper power supply?

(Not trying to call you a dummy. If you're like me, you're probably hoping for some simple user error explanation instead of dealing with a defective unit.)

You don't have it set to kill dry signal, do you?

I'm out of ideas, although I never saw an answer regarding how you're powering it.

Eventide's website has an extensive FAQ section. Try there and if no luck, give their customer support a try.

    Per previous post:

"Yes - it happens if I am running the H9 alone, separate from the looper. It happens on multiple amps and with both the factory PS and my Gigrig Evenflo adapter"

    I have contacted Eventide support

Possibly fixed. Per Eventide, reinstalled the firmware. Seems to be working at the moment.
