Had a chuckle this evening...

    Working on mixing a few tunes and I’m chopping up the guitar sounds to get them to sit where they need to be and, suddenly, it hit me how many threads there are on this forum (and any other recording forum) about “getting amazing guitar tones”. Once they’re eq’d for a mix, they’re going to sound like hell anyway! Hahaha.

    Yup. First time a high hat or ride is hit that perfectly crafted high end bites the dust. On the plus side when the bass starts playing your low end will sound like mud as well!

    Yeah, it seems like there's nothing less exciting than a solo'd guitar track! At least that's true in a good mix.
