I just remember of tbeing unable to find the record in the store and the clerk's not knowing what album Now You're Messing With a Son of a Bitch was on. Took me a couple years to find out the title was Hair of the Dog and realized I held that album in my hand without knowing that's what I was looking for. Of only Google existed then.

I loved this song and album. I saw them live in 1982. They were horrible! Worst band I've ever seen. :(

Today I learned that the song is titled Hair of the Dog as a play on words: heir of the dog : son of a bitch.

Wow. Never heard that before. It's very ACDC, vocals and chords.

One of my favorites. Queue up Miss Misery and crank it up loud. Pure Rock n Roll nirvana.

    .

Much more modern, but this one seemed the angrier song, what I thought of when I read the end of the thread title.

The Youngs, Bon, and Nazareth are all Scotts, so that must be how they roll.

Not their best song, but the most memorable to me.

This ran through my head semi-continuously during The Road Years. Yes, I was jaded. Still fun.

I saw them too. Although it might have a year or two later. Take hair if the dog out of the set and they could barely rock their way out of a paper bag. Although I do like that song telegram.

Different vibe but equally cool. I like both versions.

When I was 11-12 years old I was all into AC/DC and my sister's boyfriend played me "Teenage Nervous Breakdown" which I think was on this album. Damn I thought that song was cool. If I never hear "Love Hurts" again it will be too soon.

I always heard "velvet charmer." 'Scuse me while I kiss this guy!

    Disagree, but okay...

I used to play it with a wah until I got my Banshee. Love this part!

I can't play this song and "Day Tripper" back to back without stumbling!

I prefer this one to the GNR version, except for the falsetto screams.
