1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Who is Making the Best Built Combo, or Head with 2 El84's. "Prefer Combo" For Blues and Rock.

I had a Proto Shiva w/84's, and it was Great. But the Closed Cab Had Way too Much Bass Response.

    Suggestions.

More on the blues side, but I love my Matchless Chieftain. Really open and natural when you want it.

Add Top Hat Club Royale to the list. I've got a 112 with the latest circuit and it rocks!

The Marshall definitely delivers. You owe it to yourself to at least try one. And yes, I have one.

ive played a few, but not every 2el84, so i cant say what the best is.

Ive played badcats, tophats, Dr. Z's, the marshall reissue...and i now have a new tophat supreme 16, and i cant really see how it could get much better than that for 2-el84 ROCK TONES. Ridiculous comes to mind.

My vote is for the Twinmaster also . No longer in production , but available as custom order from Budda . Way under valued on the used market.

According to the website, it looks like they don't make the regular version anymore, or the Verbmaster, though I've been wrong before. They do have a striking 10th Anniversary TM model in purple levant? It's gorgeous, but they are only making 100 of them.

Gentlemen, let me tell you what amps that have risen to the top for me over the last year and a half. One of the most butt kickin' EL84 combos I have ever played was a Reinhardt combo that belongs to a guy that posts here that goes by the name of Waylon. I've played a lot of amps in my time but I honestly swear there is something special about the Reinhardt combos. I liked it so much I have purchased two Reinhardt heads and am getting ready to place the order for a third.
