Hanging a guitar with a headstock repair

I have a Les Paul with a repaired headstock and often place it on a hanger. Is there any reason to not do this? I'm sure it's fine but thought I'd ask.

I have one as well and haven't had any problems hanging it.

I bought my LP Custom with a broken and beautifully repaired headstock. It was hanging in the store when I bought it and I've hung it since, but not all the time. Five years and no problem. One of my best guitars.

IMO that stronger than it was before is a myth. Sure--the spot where it broke is stronger than it was before but it can still break right next to the old break. That said, the strings put much more stress on the headstock than hanging it--unless the guitar gets knocked off the wall.

I never thought about that with the strings....great point!
