Hanging guitars on the wall....please advice and vote!

How would you arrange these guitars?

    or D?

The guitars used as models above are not exactly mine but as cosmetically close (i.e. colour and wood type) as I could find quickly on the internet.
BTW, I'm using swing string hangers.

"A" looks like a practical thinking guy who wants access to his tools hung them. Very functional. "B,C,and D" look like some interior designer was suggesting ways for hanging artwork.

You've got to think about how it will work out when you have 30 or 40 guitars.

Other. I’m not a fan of hanging guitars on the wall.
But if you do it, securely mount a horizontal 2X4 to studs and attach your hangers to that.

I'm not sure about the aesthetics, but for hangers I like the Hercules hangers.

Unless the area is dust free (is any house dust free?) and humidity controlled I wouldn’t.

Yes. Put them along an exterior wall near a south-facing window to get maximum seasonal neck bowing and warping. :)

When creating retail displays, it’s best it the mannequins are holding the guitars l

I generally play my guitars, then keep them in thier cases. Hanging guitars is fine for retailers, since they are only up for a short time. I would imagine most people that hang guitars in their home also use the term “man cave” as well. No thanks!

I hang them staggered like this.

It lets me fit more on a wall and helps me avoid knocking them together.

    I use the term "studio".

If you have those three only, then I vote for A. I had to stagger mine to get them to fit on the interior wall.

Are you sure that pattern A uses less space?

I love using guitar wall hangers however I mount a Hercules for the guitar neck to hang from and another one beneath the guitar so that the weight of the guitar is on the bottom hanger. You can find bulk deals on eBay to make this reasonable.
