The OP specifically asked for opinions on hanging with "Other.... Please Explain."

It’s about dust dust and dust, for all of the pro hangars you will eventually be dealing with scratchy pots everywhere.

1.Hercules Hangers -- I have never used anything else
    2. Hang on an interior wall. -- outside walls leak heat, Concrete walls sweat.
    3. I like staggered due to space constraints.
    4. Hang them high enough that you don't run the vacuum cleaner handles or other things into the body.

My rules that has served me well.

Yep, and you're not so dense as to have read his post, seen the pictures and known that it meant other options of hanging the guitars. Are you? o_O

Fortunately you can avoid all dangers by not going out of the house. Just stay in your house, don't use anything and you may avoid all breakage and bodily harm that so often befalls those who ignore the warning. ;)

This is how I have mine hang since I only have a couple hanging together.

I figured they’re better staggered than straight across for a short run of 2 guitars.

What does this have to do with scratchy pots? Avoiding all dangers kind of overstates it, don’t you think?
It’s more about keeping your instruments in good condition so they can be used without issues.

Has nothing at all to do with scratchy pots and you shouldn't have even brought them up. Since you did I extrapolated on your paranoia and non-thread related post.
The guy didn't come here with a question to be warned about the dangers of life and we should be posting on helping him decide how he's going to hang his guitars and not whether he does.

    Gentleman.....relax. It's only Monday. lol

OP....whichever way you choose, you can always change it if you like.

Edit: I've never hung my guitars for many reasons. But I play them! :)

suffice it to say I don't agree with you. Guitars are tools, and tools should be kept in top condition for use on the job. Perhaps the OP didn't consider dust and scratchy pots, now he can make a more informed decision.

Not necessarily, I have debating hanging and was reading the thread for all opinions. Is good to see folks commenting on the negatives as well.

As for the "dangers" of hanging guitars, some of mine have hung for over 18 years. Fender, Gibson, Larrivée, PRS, Gretsch, etc., nitro, poly - all have hung without damage, not even scratchy pots.

I hang mine on an interior wall, using String Swings, and try to keep them out of direct sunlight.

Those that don’t hang (because I ran out of spaces) are on stands. I like them close to hand and where I can admire them when not playing them. For me, cases are for when I want to take them somewhere else.

i voted a but admittedly d looks most pleasing. a because for me I have a lot of guitars and want to make the fewest holes in the wall as possible. I mounted my hangers on 1 x 8 and hung 5 guitars with 4 screws. also... someday when I ditch my elec drum set... I'll do a second row!

If you must hang your guitars on a wall, the only recommendation I would give is to hang them NAMM-style, at an angle, with hooks that support both the body and neck.

I think it is just wrong to hang a guitar by its headstock.

Reading this thread would lead some to think that many members here have never actually visited a guitar store.

    So bizarre, these concerns.

    Coronation Street. The Flying Ducks.

This was all thought out and scientifically calculated for maximum visual impact a long time ago.
