This was backstage at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL after they put on a great show. What a truly nice, charming and beautiful woman. The whole band were great people, and looked to be some of the healthiest, happiest touring musicians I have been around. They have a brutal touring schedule, but had loads of joy and energy. We've seen them 4 times in the last year, and they just keep getting better.

They even did great covers of the Stones "Happy" and Heart's "Crazy on You."

Grace hugged both me and my wife before she left. Very cool.

As soon as we ended out conversation, she hopped in a golf cart to go sing with the Warren Haynes Band, and she did a great job.

A few more phone pictures. Great weather, great weekend, very well run festival.

She's hot. The world needs more female rockers like that.

My friend married the sister of their road manager Ben. I hope to get to see them in Indy this summer. Sounds like a pretty wild ride they are on.

Agreed. The lead guitarist, Scott, could not have been more friendly. We had an unrushed conversation about the tour, and how much they loved what they were doing. The conversation ended when we thanked him for his time, not when he had to go.

I refrained from mentioning that I was a gigging musician or talking gear. I was intrigued at the energy they put forth on a warm afternoon, how fresh and fit they looked when they came off after 90 minutes, the grueling tour schedule (NJ, MA, NC & AL on consecutive nights).

Great band, incredible energy, loads of talent, nice people.

I refer to her as my future second wife. Good thing my actual wife knows there's no chance in hell.

I got to meet her last summer - a good friend of mine has a band (actually I guess they're all friends of mine...) who used to open for GPN the summer before, and so she totally introduced me to Grace and we all caught a Spoon show together. Grace's bass player, Cat Popper, has got to be one of the funniest people I've ever met. And Grace was a real sweetheart too. Great people, no doubt.

It's funny, I left a comment on Youtube after watching one of their live performances a while ago just saying how much I liked the song. I got RIPPED APART! There were Trolls everywhere! lol It freaked me out a little. It's like they were just sitting there waiting for someone to say something nice. Oh, well. I love the photos! :)

Very cool...she's talented and beautiful. On a side note, good to see you were wearing your earplugs, I don't leave home without them anymore!

Oh man, what a great experience. Grace (and her band) are one of my new favorites. She's an amazing talent, and it's a pleasure to see her star rising.

Best of luck to her, and congrats to you!

I've wondered what happened to the bassist that she started out with...maybe other members too?

Saw them on some obscure music program on TV a few years ago and she was the only female in the band...plus, they all looked a lot more like a hippy jam band back then...Grace included!

Any mention of the old band in your conversations?
