A cool benefit to living just several miles from Les Paul's childhood hometown is stumbling across stuff like this in a local shop. An envelope sent to "Rubarb Red" at KMOX in St. Louis. Misspelled, but Rhubarb Red was Les Paul's stage name for his early career, including the time he was at KMOX. On this postcard are Les's handwritten notes for the chords to the song he was going to play on the air that evening. And it's dated 1932...4 years before his first record & 10 years before he built "The Log."

Great thread, thanks for reminding us of Les the man. Glad I caught him at the Iridium once in his later years.
